Springfield, Mo.—More than 250 people – and 600 alpacas – are expected in Springfield March 29-30 for the 5th Annual MOPACA Invitational Alpaca Show.
The show is at the Missouri Meeting & Event Center E*Plex and is open to the public.
Suri and Huacaya alpacas in 22 natural colors will participate in a halter show and full-fleece competition and their humans will participate in a Handcrafters Spin-Off and a Fiber Art and Hand-Spun Yarn competition.
The show also will have demonstrations of weaving and hand spinning alpaca fleece into yarn and a variety of farm store displays selling products made from alpaca fleece along with a silent auction and Herdsire Breeding silent auction to raise money for the Mid America Alpaca Foundation. Seminars will include a variety of information on alpacas and guard dog training.
