Christian Music Festival Returns to Smithville, Missouri

By Guest Contributor

04-02-2008

(Smithville, MO) Planning is currently underway for the Second Annual Nehemiah Festival, which will be held the weekend of September 19-21 at Smithville Lake. After a successful debut last year, this event will once again feature over 40 local and national Christian bands. Admission to this family-oriented camping and Christian music festival will be FREE to the public. To make this possible, the all-volunteer Nehemiah Festival Construction Crew will coordinate this event, which includes representatives from several area Christian businesses and churches as well as musicians.

Headliner national acts include Caleb Rowden on Friday night and Bread of Stone on Saturday night. Other fine local and regional Christian bands as well as musicians will round out the music performances. There will also be activities and family entertainment throughout the event.

Sponsorship packages and vendor/display booth opportunities are currently available to help fund this event. Many volunteers are needed as well. To check out sponsorship and volunteer opportunities, visit the website at http://www.nehemiahfest.com.

A kick-off preview party for the Nehemiah Fest will be held in downtown Smithville on Saturday, July 26. Entitled the Second Annual Christian Family Day, this street festival will feature several regional Christian bands. Last year’s event was well attended with over 1,000 participants. Sponsorship, vendor and volunteer opportunities are also available for this event.

For more information on both events, visit http://www.nehemiahfest.com or contact David Lin at 816-645-1982.
