Why build a pumpkin race care, of course and compete in the Big Bad Pumpkin Race & Waterfront Bash at the Shawnee Mission Park Marina. The event is set for Saturday, October 18, 2008 from 1-5 p.m. There is a $20.00 race fee for all pumpkin race cars. In addition to the races Mr. Stinky Feet, Bongo Barry and magician Devin Henderson will be performing throughout the afternoon. Interactive activities including sidewalk mural drawing, hayrides, pumpkin chucking, and Lowe’s model construction will also be available FREE of charge to both spectators and pumpkin racers.
