Pat W. Kirk says, “The times are dangerous and stressful. Traffic, crime, our jobs and illness sometimes make us wonder why we should get out of bed in the morning. When life seems like more than we can bear, many of us turn to our faith.” Pat W. Kirk PuckettBrowne Publishing http://makerstouch.typepad.com
The Christian inspirational book, One Touch from the Maker, PuckettBrowne Publishing, tells twenty-one stories about and by people who leaned on God. In many cases, the situation was hopeless. The baby was subjected to the radiation from her mother’s illness. Shouldn’t they abort? The doctors insisted the baby could be brain damaged. Could a paraplegic mother deal with such a child?
Another short sample of the type of true stories in \One Touch from the Maker\ is this filler appearing in the book: \"Haiti. Two weeks ago, a flash flood hit our Dessalines Hospital (Haiti)...(A) story came from VISA missionary Diana Carty, who told of one Haitian mother who was on her knees in prayer when water rushed in on her. A small child… washed into her house and lodged between her knees. Because she was on her knees in prayer, a child was saved.\” Free Methodist church bulletin, Lawrence, KS 1995.
Every story is unique. But they represent people who felt that God brought them through.
